Simon, a microbiologist by training, has a keen interest in sexual and reproductive health, rights, and policy. He completed his PhD in Health Sciences at Ghent University, Belgium, in 2018. Additionally, he holds an MSc in Molecular Biology and a BSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences. He joined IDeAL in 2024 as a Postdoctoral Fellow based at Pwani University.  Currently, his work focuses on dyslipidemia and erectile dysfunction.

Before joining Ideal as a Postdoctoral Fellow, he served as a Lecturer at Pwani University, engaging in various studies related to sexual and reproductive health, rights, and policy, including the drafting of the current Kenya Strategic Framework for HIV, STIs, and Viral Hepatitis.
