Sammy Masibo is an accomplished pharmaceutical and healthcare management professional with over a decade of experience in the public health sector. He has held a range of operational and strategic leadership roles, including Hospital Pharmacist-in-Charge, Sub-County Pharmacist, Medical Superintendent, and County Director for Health. His work has focused on improving pharmaceutical services, strengthening health systems, and advancing public health delivery at both county and national levels.
Masibo’s academic credentials reflect his multidisciplinary expertise. He holds a Diploma in Information Technology, a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Nairobi, an MBA in Strategic Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, and an MBA in Healthcare Management from the Strathmore University Business School. He has also recently earned a Certificate in Effective Healthcare Management from the University of Toronto, Mississauga.
Currently, he serves as a Health Systems Researcher at the Strathmore University Business School, where he is pursuing a PhD in Healthcare Management. His research interests include health policy, systems strengthening, digital health interventions and leadership in healthcare. He is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK) and the Infection Prevention Network of Kenya (IPNET-K).
