Muyoyeta is a Zambian Medical Doctor with a PhD in infectious diseases epidemiology with over 17 years of experience in health systems and research. She is a Clinical Research Site (CSR) Leader of the CoVPN 3008 study at CIDRZ Matero CRS, an HVTN-approved site that has been conducting clinical trials since 2016.

Current research activities include a TB vaccine clinical trial, an HIV vaccine clinical trial, implementation research to enhance TB case finding, and the evaluation of Xpert Ultra and computer-aided diagnosis for digital chest X-rays. Areas of interest encompass clinical trials, implementation science, impact evaluation, evaluation of new diagnostics, surveys, randomised controlled trials, TB/HIV prevention in prison settings, and programme management of TB/HIV and MDR-TB.
