I am currently a postdoctoral fellow within the IDeAL project (Initiative to Develop African Research Leaders), where I research “Phenotypes and genotypes of resistance to third-generation cephalosporins and quinolones in clinical strains of E. coli, K. pneumoniae, and S. Typhi isolated from cerebrospinal fluid, urine, and blood cultures in Niger.”
This project builds on my doctoral work (PhD) in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Biotechnology, focusing on hospital-acquired pulmonary infections in Niamey. This subject was initially explored during my DEA in Microbial and Cellular Biochemistry, with research conducted in a hospital setting in Ouagadougou.
Additionally, I hold an Engineering degree in Medical and Biological Analyses from the University of Lomé, where I conducted a study on “the value of blood ionogram in dehydrated children at the Tokoin University Hospital Center in Lomé.”
My ongoing dedication to biomedical research, along with extensive training across several countries in the region, demonstrates my commitment to improving public health in West Africa, especially by strengthening microbiological surveillance and fighting antimicrobial resistance.
