Moussa Badjo Zaratou

Masters Fellow

Moussa Badjo Zaratou is a medical doctor and emerging public health researcher with experience in clinical and epidemiological research. She holds a Doctorate of Medicine and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health, specialising in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, with support from the Initiative to Develop African Research Leaders (IDeAL).

She currently serves as a Study Monitor at Epicentre Niger, where she supports the coordination, implementation and monitoring of clinical and epidemiological studies, helping to ensure research activities are conducted effectively and in line with study protocols.

Moussa began her professional career as a physician with Médecins Sans Frontières France, where she worked from 2017 to 2019 and gained valuable frontline clinical and field experience. In 2020, she joined Epicentre Niger as an investigator on the DetAct project, contributing to research activities until 2022. She subsequently transitioned to her current role as Study Monitor, building on her clinical background and growing expertise in health research.

Through her postgraduate training and professional experience, Moussa is strengthening her expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics and health research, with a growing interest in using robust evidence to better understand public health challenges and contribute to improved health outcomes.
