Masters in Immunology Fellow
I am pursuing a master’s degree in Immunology at Pwani University, supported by the IDEAL Studentship Program at KEMRI-Wellcome Trust, under the mentorship of Professor Charles Sande. My research, “Temporal Dynamics of Antibody Kinetics in Paediatric Infectious Diseases,” investigates how maternal and naturally acquired antibodies develop over time in young children, with an emphasis on understanding immune responses within pediatric populations.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Pwani University, where my interest in biomedical sciences was first ignited. My primary research interests include pediatric immunity and vaccinology, specifically infectious disease prevention and vaccine efficacy in vulnerable populations. Through my work, I am committed to advancing vaccine strategies and public health interventions to enhance children’s protection against infectious diseases.
