Katayi is a clinical trial coordinator specialist at the Center for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ). She has a PhD from the University of Zambia in Biomedical sciences (Immunology). The focus of her work has been rotavirus vaccine performance and maternal factors affecting the ability of infants to respond to vaccines successfully. Other areas of interest include vaccine development and evaluation with a focus on enteric pathogens. She also has some experience in social science research in WASH.
