Kaluba Kateule-Musonda

Master's Fellow, Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ)

Kaluba completed a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the School of Medicine, University of Zambia (UNZA) and is currently pursuing a Master of Science candidate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the School of Public Health also at UNZA. Kaluba’s research focuses on factors influencing full immunization coverage among children born to adolescent mothers in the Shang’ombo District of Zambia (A district with a high number of adolescent mothers coupled with it being amongst the regions with the lowest immunization coverage in the country). This work aims to uncover barriers and inform strategies to improve immunization rates in underserved communities. Knowledge acquired through this training and experience in project management and community engagement will strengthen the delivery of results-oriented solutions for diverse healthcare needs. She is being supervised by Ms. Mwice Musukuma and Dr Choolwe Jacobs (Head of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health, UNZA).
