John Wahome is the Communications and Engagement Lead at the Initiative to Develop African Research Leaders (IDeAL). I hold a bachelor’s degree in communication from Daystar University. I am experienced in content development and design for various media, including branding, science publications design, the web, social media, and engagement platforms. I am responsible for all communication, brand creation, and public engagement activities within IDeAL. My interests range from community culture to music, art, design, photography, engagement, outreach work, and finding beauty and humanity between science and the masses with an artist’s eye. Before joining the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme, I was a creative designer working with various Media and Science organisations
