I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Immunology at Pwani University, supported through a collaborative sponsorship by the Initiative to Develop African Research Leaders (IDeAL) and the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme.
My interest lies in leveraging genomics and transcriptomics better to understand the complex interplay between hosts and pathogens. I am particularly fascinated by how these high-throughput technologies can be used to uncover the genetic and transcriptional landscapes that shape immune responses and pathogen survival strategies. By integrating these approaches, I aim to contribute to the development of novel interventions against infectious diseases that disproportionately affect populations in low- and middle-income countries.
Looking ahead, I am eager to build expertise in bioinformatics and data-driven immunology through collaborative research, with the goal of translating omics data into actionable insights that can inform effective interventions against infectious diseases.
