PhD Fellow, KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme
I am a PhD Fellow at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme, part of the Initiative to Develop African Research Leaders (IDeAL), in collaboration with the Open University, UK. My research focuses on integrating sero-surveillance data and mathematical modelling to optimize vaccine programs in Kenya. Specifically, I aim to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of various mumps and varicella vaccination strategies across different delivery scenarios and to characterize the seroincidence of pertussis by age and region. Dr. Wangeci Kagucia and Dr. John Ojal supervise my PhD.
I have an MSc in Health Informatics from Makerere University, Uganda, where I developed and validated supervised machine learning models to predict tuberculosis treatment adherence.
