Esther is a PhD fellow under the Initiative to Develop African Research Leaders and is registered with the Open University, UK. Her PhD project focuses on vulnerabilities influencing the uptake of childhood vaccines in Kilifi County, Kenya. This work is supported and nested within the Vaccines for Vulnerable People in Africa (Vanguard) project, being implemented in Kenya and Uganda.

Esther holds a Master of Arts Degree in Development Studies from the University of Nairobi and previously worked as a research officer at KEMRI Wellcome Trust Research Programme.
